Carla is the light of our lives. She is the reason we continue to fight every obstacle that we face. Carla has gone through many hardships and has beat them all. Carla was born perfect and healthy until she was about 6 months old. Carla’s doctor reported that Carla was not hitting her milestones. At 9 months old, Carla’s doctor ordered for Carla to get her blood drawn. The blood results came back irregular. It took them a while to diagnosed her with mitochondrial disorder. Carla was not able to sit, roll, or even touch her feet like a normal baby. Her doctors explained that Carla needed a lot of therapy and care. This is when I decided to quit my job and take care of our Angel.
