Noah is our three year-old son, and he received a power wheelchair this summer and love exploring his world independently! It’s been a joy to see him drive his power wheelchair. Noah has Freeman Sheldon Syndrome, a rare congenital condition, and his symptoms are severe scoliosis, arthrogryposis of his hands, feet, knee contracture (won’t extend straight), hip dislocation, feeding difficulties, and craniofacial differences. Noah is non-ambulatory. Due to his physical size, hand contractures, and joint limitations, the power wheelchair was found to be a better fit than a manual wheelchair. We’ve been thrilled that he’s able to drive it so well and navigate on his own at home!
