WE ARE DEDICATED TO HELPING FAMILIES WITH NON-AMBULATORY CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN, ACQUIRE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE VEHICLES.
Our mission is to help families with children diagnosed with a permanent disability participate in community, recreational, or everyday experiences as a united family. SFF also supports events to benefit cerebral palsy education and activities. We support families in the states of Washington, Oregon, and Utah.
When a family begins to shop for a modified vehicle, it is shocking and disappointing for many.
The cost of the conversion generally runs about $28,000. The cost of the vehicle will then be added, making a simple mini-van into a $60,000 car!
Will you join our families who roll and donate?
All of the donations go directly to purchasing conversion vans for our families.
Our foundation to date awards 85% of the donations directly to purchasing a modified vehicle. We have no paid employees and little overhead. We have a team of wonderful volunteers and like minded souls who have adopted our mission and made it their own.
A final goal of the foundation will be to secure monetary donations to subsidize scholarships to students who are majoring in studies that benefit children with disabilities.
In its first year the foundation granted one student a $1,500 scholarship. We offered three but the word has not traveled that this scholarship is available. We would like to market this gift further and would like to raise at least $10,000 in donations toward scholarships.
